Protein Skimmers

Are there protein skimmer like this w/ pipes? One outake pipe connecting the outake valve to the skimmer. One intake pipe for conecting the intake valve to the the skimmer.

Are there skimmers like these?

Are you reffering to one that hangs on the aquarium, or one that sits by itself underneath the aquarium? There are many models made either way.
