I am in love with this car this past weekend I put two coats of paste wax I didnt know that stuff was harder to get off the car then the liquid wax but it was. He really turned out nice with that tek wax. Its all leather interior and rides nice, he can really get up and go. My husbands truck was totaled when a tree fell on it, I didnt explain that in the first post and didnt want anyone to think he had an accident.

I don't think the newer cars need to be waxed. They use a different type of paint now so it's not necessary. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Even if they dont, it protects the car more.

Actually the matrials used in todys paints and clearcoats are inferior to the ones used 20 years ago(thanks to the EPA) so waxing your car is very esential to the lasting clearcoat.

Does the spray on wax at the car wash help much?

Well, I would think any waxing would help but it doesnt last as long as the paste or liquid, as far as the waxing being not needed I asked my husband last night, hes an ase certifi mechinac and he giggled under his breath and said ummmmmmmmm its still needed if you want to protected the car.

I haven't waxed a car since 1995 (unless you count the car wash, lol).
