man!!! last night i just recieved the most gorgeous pice of candycane coral (Caulastrea furcata)...my girlfriend is so sweet!!! it sits perfectly on top in a little nook in a piece of lr i have!!! it's beautiful, purple with a great green in the center, much like a blastomae...gorgeous! i'll try and get a picture of it (but you know how my pictures take time...)

no...the film won't get back until next week...

i shoot high quality 35mm color slide film on my SLR nikon...slide film has to be processed differently in that it's mounted into a frame...the film used is a direct image from the camera lense and shutter...slide film is more exact in color and clarity, as saturation is not overdriven from the developing process. (plus it can be utilized in a projector).

i then have the slides transposed digitally, and then put onto CD...so what i end up getting is picture quality equivelent to a 8+ megapixel photo...i just don't have the kind of "loot" to go out and buy a 8 megapixel camera...

WOW!!! if only i had known...i'd have bought it from you in a heart beat!!!

you think the 5000 is comparable to the F5? i figured you would have opted for a D-100, or Dx-1 as they're much like the F5 (same body)...plus the infinite option of trading lenses...

speaking of lenses...you have any left from your old F5 you want to part with?

ok..i took alook at the auction...and i see why you wouldn't have gone for the D-100 or D1x...they were propably too much camera for you...and i'm guessing the 5000 suits you quite well, especially for the price! why not the 5700 then? price again...a grand is a lot considering that could be a new tank...

i'm thinking of breaking down and getting a fuji S602, as it's an affordable 6.2 megapixel camera...
