I'm getting ready to start a nano reef and wanted to know if this setup is a good one.
10 gallon glass tank 20x10x12
Bio-wheel 170 or skilter 250 cant decide suggestion please
20 inch 28 watt aqualight or 20 inch 96 watt aqualight 50/50 bulbs cant decide either suggestion please
Ebo Jager 50 watt heater
mini jet 606
10 pounds of live sand
15 pounds of live rock
3 zebra hermits
3 turbo snails
coral banded shrimp
3 clown gobies
Yellow colony polyps
Striped musrooms
Brain coral
Xenias
Starburst Polyps
I will also use C-balance and dose Iodine. Hopefully I ddn't forget anything and please help me decid which of the filter and lights to use.

i'd opt for the skilter 250
20 inch 28 watt aqualight or 20 inch 96 watt aqualight 50/50 bulbs cant decide either suggestion please
all depends on what you're going to put in it. the 96w might overheat a 10 gallon, but a good fan might help for cooling. the corals that you list should do fine with a 36w PC...but i myself would opt for the 96w PC.
Ebo Jager 50 watt heater
good choice!
mini jet 606
again, good choice, but personally i might opt for two smaller PH's...might i suggest two zoomed power sweep 212's.
10 pounds of live sand
15 pounds of live rock
a good start, but i personally would do about 25lbs. of LS and 20-25lbs. of LR.
3 zebra hermits
3 turbo snails
coral banded shrimp
3 clown gobies
Yellow colony polyps
Striped musrooms
Brain coral
Xenias
Starburst Polyps
a fairly good choice of species...but i must warn you about the banded coral shrimp...they can be a bit wild. also, 3 clown gobies isn't extreme in terms of bioload, but may be pushing it just a tad. although they are nice small fish. instead of the banded coral (which may affect/predate/harass the gobies) i'd suggest a peppermint or skunk cleaner shrimp.
I will also use C-balance and dose Iodine. Hopefully I ddn't forget anything and please help me decid which of the filter and lights to use.
i've never used C-balance so, i can't comment on it. but i personally don't think you'll need to dose iodine. enough trace levels will be present in synthetic sea salt, as well as natural feeding if you ever feed the invertebrates with shrimp raw shrimp.
best of luck to you, and welcome to "nano-reefing!" :D

I got the light here.... It comes with built in fans which helps with the heat bigtime. My tank never goes over 80 degrees, but its in an always air conditioned room...

If you decide to go for it, might I suggest the optional legs for 8 bucks. Brings the light off the water which I like MUCH better, probably helps with cooling as well....

Wow yours looks good I just ordered my nano stuff. I bought different lights though I got an eclipse hood 2 bulbs. 1 actinic and 1 daylight. I wanted something that covered the whole top of the aquarium. And I mite buy this black base for it to give it a professional look. When I get the hood I am going to see if the hood has room for a retrofit light if the hood doesnt have enough light. I have decided to get a percula clown and a clown goby. I read that clownfish love mushroom corals. So I am dedicating it to mushrooms and a brain coral. I m going to get my sister to teach me how to post pictures. What kind of corals and fish are you going to put in your nano. I would like to see more pics of your nano whenit gets corals in it. Best of luck
