Another site I frequent doesn't allow new members the right to e-mail or PM other members until the member has basically proved to be a legit member and also a certain amount of time has to pass before gaining those privileges. I believe this solve their problems with posters like this.

I've never received a spam PM. If anyone does, just pm their name to a mod or admin and we will ban them.

i don't think banning will be effective as if they are intent on spamming (advertising) they will just keep coming back under a new I.D each time, since membership is free it is easy.

I also received the message from Jeannette, She had stated that she was new to the site and wanted to introduce herself and say hello. Stupid me, I never thought this would have happen since new people come to the site everyday. clicked open her link to respond with a welcome aboard reply and my anti virus program kicked into high gear. I now have a quarantined Trojan that can't be deleted with my current software.

I didnt open, I erase it, I am so paranoid that I try not to open any attachments but I hate doing that cause it could be a pic or something I really like and I have a good virus protect but I just dont do it.

I'm a newbie here and I didn't think that parasites would infect a site like this. Live & Learn. I can't wait until some computer savvy organization would somehow find a way of locating and fining or imprisoning these jokers. Where's a cop when you need one.
