Hi everyone,
I recently added a neon dottyback to my tank after loosing my shrimp. I now miss having my shrimp around (had a fire and a cleaner) but am worried about adding shrimp with the neon in the tank as they can be shrimp killers. Does anyone here sucessfully keep a neon dottyback with shrimp in their tank? Thanks for any any input.

to ReefLounge gobiegirl!

as long as there's not a huge size difference...i think you should be ok...but you have to watch how the two will interact...if there's any aggression would analyze the situation...good luck!

I haven't kept any neon dottybacks but I do have an orchid dottyback and 2 cleaner shrimp. the dottyback does sometimes bother the shrimp but has never actually attacked them. Keep in mind the orchid dottyback is one of the more docile types of dottybacks.

I have had a neon dottyback and a skunk cleaner shrimp for about 6 months with no problems. So far they ignore each other.
