these are the fish id like to have,
1) very small regal tang
2) green chromis * (whatever amount would be good)
3)six line wrasse
4) percula clowns

i know this is quite a large bioload for a 55 but would very interested to see wat you guys thought?

im just researching at the mo. i have been for the last 2 months and i getting impatient.

What will you do when the baby blue tang is no longer a baby?

BTW, what kind of set up will it be? A FOWLR or full blown reef? I see you listed the topic as "reef fish" but I just wanted to make sure. I like the idea of the percs, some chromis and either the baby blue tang or the six line wrasse so you don't over load the tank. Just what I would do though. Good luck,

Mike

i eventually want to have a full blown reef but im kinda low on the money right now. my mate has a reef and is willing to give me frags for free!
which is cool but i think ill just start out with fish and build it up from there.
im currently finishing my diy stand which should be done this weekend. then the refuge/sump, equipment will go in and then the wait...
wat do you guys think would be an ideal time to wait until i start adding fish? also do you think starting with a clown is to risky?
i ask these questions because my friend recently lost over $800 of fish.
i want mine to not only live but thrive.
it was strange though because he has been very successful with corals but has had trouble keeping any fish alive for more than 2 weeks? aren't corals harder to keep than fish?

anyway i think iv said enough,
thanks mike again for the reply i look forward to any suggestions put forward.

oh one last quick one, which do you think is the better fish for a reef, regal tang or six-line? in terms of health, ease of keeping, feeding, looks and character?

Thanks again,
Seb
