hello all i have just got a new fish and got it as a regal tang. i was just wondering if someong could tell me what kind of "regal tang" it is as his/her coloration differs to other regal tangs i have seen.
he is blue with a specald face but he has a yellow underside and a grey middle
i have attached a picture to help

It is Paracanthurus hepatis, aka regal tang, blue tang etc... It's colors differ from what you've seen because it has adult coloration, which is uncommon in the aquarium trade. You should also see plenty of red when it flares it's dorsal fin. An exceptionally beautiful fish!!

so it is an adult regal, it is quite large (5.5 - 6 inchs) so it will be an adult
will be great in the new tank (230 uk gallen) so with a bit of luck he will be fine..
