Pop Eye

I recived a Chalk bassalet about 2 months ago from a very respected reefer and he said that it had had pop eye for about 6 monthes and never seemed to bother the fish, eats well and all. Anything to really be worried about?

Popeye can lead to other problems, blindness, loss of the eye or harder to treat bacterial infections. You would be wise to isolate the fish and treat it before it becomes untreatable. It will not affect the other fish.

There are many things that can cause this. Poor water conditions rough handling, netting and internal bacterial infections...
