I recently had a horrible experience with Jen's Saltwater Haven (jensalt.com.) I bought 3 acrylic sumps from them. In my opinion, the sumps were utterly defective and so poorly built as to be unusable. The edges were unfinished, the corners didn't line up, and the seams were unbelievably bad. Even the best seam was full of bubbles, and many were full of large gaps in the glue. In some spots, the gaps went all the way through! After Jensalt refused to refund my money or even acknowledge the problems, I actually broke them up and threw them away.

You can see all the details on my Jensalt sump horror story site (http://members.cox.net/~gbundersea/aquaria/badsumps/badsumps.htm).

Sorry to hear you bad experience with them. How long ago did this happen? Did you pay by credit card? If so you can file a complaint with your CC Co. and they can try to get your $$$ back.

Unfortunately, I paid with a bank-funded PayPal account. Trust me, had it been a credit card, I would have filed a dispute immediately! With their insistence that there was nothing wrong, and their refusal to refund any money, all I can do is let others know of my experience.

Had I researched them more closely, I would have found stories of other people having had problems too. I only discovered these after it was too late.

That's why it's so important to spread the word in forums like this about dealers, both the good and the bad.

Hind Sight is 20/20 :)

You can still file a complaint with paypal i think. And they will get their PayPal account frozen while they investigate.
