Hummm what do you think?

Hi all...my LFS had a 265 Gallon Perfecto tank fully stocked until someone bought everything in it. Now it sits in their storage and they are getting tired of "tripping over it" and want to sell it.

The guy I need to talk to wont be back to the store until Thursday, however...what do you think is a good price for the following:

Full MH Lighting system with all bulbs reciently changed (about 3 Months useage on them)

265 Gallon Perfecto Tank

Complete Acrylic filtration system.

All I have to do then if I do buy it is build a stand and hood for it which wont be hard. (I like customizing things!)

Anyway...what do you think a tank, lighting system, and filtration system that has been used for at least 4-5+ years would br valued at? (Keep in mind that they want to get rid of it but I DOUBT they will just "give it away" at a jaw-dropping price.)

Well...if I can come up with the cash...I am willing to pay around $1000 or so.

It is a used setup so I don't expect to pay more than that.

I'm just trying to get an idea of what it might be worth. :wink:

Oh...and my index is up for my website...they were EXTREMELY fast getting my domain up! Less than 24 hours! :shock:

Anyway...I will be working on it all day today so feel free to stop by and check out the progress. :wink: 8)

Oh...Almost forgot...you need to have a Flash 5 Player installed or some of the images and graphics wont show up. :wink:

Well I would expect to pay about $600-700 for the tank itself. Being that it is acrylic and that size.

was where i think the mis-interpretation came in.

i'd expect to shell out about a grand for the setup. depending on the lighting. but see what else you can swing out of the deal...maybe some pumps, or equipment. keep in mind that it's going to be some money to custom build a stand and canopy.

ok...I talked with him...and saw the tank. He is going to keep thE MH lighting system and only sell the tank, sump, and pump.

The tank needs a little cleaning, but he is asking $500.

Good deal?
