Has anyone used Bioslabs? Because I am currently in the process of building a 10 gal sump for my 26 gal tank and I was wondering what all of your thoughts of Bioslabs were.

I have not used them, but I have read that they can store a lot of bacteria that can be good to break down ammonia and nitrates. I would probably use them over regular bioballs.

Are bio slabs the same thing as the bioblocks? I got some bioblocks from premiuim aquatics and used them in a FO for a while. If (when) I ever setup another FO I'd probably go with the bioblox/slab in a wet/dry filter.
Heres a link to the Cell-Pore bio blox I had... http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=PA&Category_Code=Bioblox

Yes, I think Bio Slabs are the same as Bio Bolx, i think each manufacturer changed the name a little. They seem pretty cool, you can increase the surface area of your filter with these blox.

Do you think that It would be a good idea to use them for a sump on a reef tank
