Well yesterday my firefish was happy, but I found him just now. I saw it yesterday night so my clean-up crew had 12 hours or less on him. When I pulled the dead there were no bones only the outline skin of him. So my nassariuses and peppermints did a sexy job.

Or do you guys think it was just the peppermints?

could be just the perpermints :)

They are good at cleaning up

While it's good they performed, any concern or idea why the firefish died?

Not sure at all, it was swimming around happily the other day. Well fed, other tank mates are f clown 3.5" and yellow watchman 3"

Did the firefish jump?

Firefish are probably not the best fish to keep with damsels. They are extremely timid and best left in tanks with similar types of docile/peaceful fish to be successful.

Different types of dartfish or other peaceful goby, some types of blennies jawfish or cardinals would be the best choice for a peaceful tank..

Cheers

No the fish didn't jump, my clown is not a threat at all the firefish when it was alive. It swam and never was chased. That's why I chose a f perc.
