:?: I have heard of retrofit lighting for this unit, but I don't understand how they work. Do you take the old fixture out of the canopy and replace it with the new one? Is it a whole new canopy? Where can I get one?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Contact hellolights.com or customsealife.com those are the two places that make the retrofits.

What you want to purchase is the Custom Sea Life 32 watt Supernova Retrofit kit. It comes with directions for installing it directly into the Eclipse hood, using the existing screw holes. You simply unscrew and remove the stock lighting and screw in the retrfit kit. Very simple. I paid $89.00 for mine, but you can find it cheaper.
Be sure to get the Supernova kit though. That one comes with a rubberized waterproof endcap to keep moisturre out of the ballast. The regular Smartlight Retrokit will not.
