Sort of, he want's me to try to take it away from him, a little game of tug of war. I usually only get a few throw's with the log and then he start's eating it. The Kong is another story, he'll go for ever with that thing.

Today totally sucked. My dog had trouble walking this morning. I took him to the vet and found out that he was bleeding internally. Turns out he likely had an aggressive cancer of the blood vessels. He wouldn't have lasted the night. Sadly, I had to put him down. I literally just lost my best friend in the world. I'm just glad I have some videos like this that I can watch to make me smile. This is how I am going to remember him.

Thanks Glenn, they are pretty sad, but taking it better than me and my wife. Thing is that when I got him, the kids were babies, and I trained him to stay away from them. Once they got bigger they wanted to play with him, but he wouldn't have anything to do with him. He was basically a one man dog.

sorry to hear you guys lost your best friend...I had my bear dog pass away 4 years ago..he had heartworms and had a heart attack we didnt have the $$for heartworm prevention and we still regret it. Chin up big man :)

Mike, I showed the video to my wife and we are both sorry to hear about Orion. My dog is like our daughter, they are the closest friends that you can trust. Have a few for me and like you said remember the good times.

I'm Sorry for your loss Mike. I had to have one of my cats put to sleep last January due to cancer and I never would have thought it could be as hard as it was. I work in Oncology and I see a lot of suffering. From the way you made it sound, he had good quality of life right up until the end. That's always a blessing IMO.
