Hey guys.....i got another newbie question for ya'll! As some of you know, i recently set up a 30 gallon mini reef. I am about ready to put my first corals in but want to get a sufficient powerhead for proper water movement. I dont know how big of a powerhead i should get. i have a penguin powerhead already but it doesnt look that great (plus, i think 300 GPH is too much power.) Please help me out!

In my 36" long 30g tank, I currently use a penguin 550 in the right rear corner and a Maxi-jet 400 in the left rear corner. I aim them towards the front middle glass where they meet and create really nice random flow through the rest of the tank. I think one could go with two 550's but I would never use only one powerhead as you don't get anything much other than linear current.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
well, the water isnt that cloudy but did get a little cloudier ever since i added my new rock yesterday. I added 14 pounds of some PREMIUM FIJI rock! It is probably the most beautiful rock i have ever seen in my entire life! Anyhoo.....i would like to get some advice for this problem because i dont like cloudy water.....no one does! hahahha! thanx guys!
Oh, BTW, my tank has been running for around 2 weeks and now i am in the 3rd week.....friday will be the actual 3rd week anniversary. This tank was already a running tank so most or all of the original bacteria was saved from the original filter. its a 30 gallon tank with a little over 30 pounds of live rock. I dont want to add anymore because i dont want the tank to look overcrowded......but you guys are the experts....please give me some tips! thanx!
This does cause a little concern for me. I think you may be pushing the stocking of this tank. Please be patient...and keep track of your water quality. What is your water testing for nitrates, trites, and ammonia? (no, I am not an expert, but I am learning a lot from these guys just by reading)
