I went scuba diving with my marine biology class at a mangrove forest on an island to the south of this one, Puerto Rico, and when I was going to go back on the boat to take us back to the mainland I saw this beached so I... being a good sammaritan :oops: picked it up and brought it home... now... what is it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Gongorian, not sure what species. They are also called sea fans (I believe)

Pseudopterogoria bipinnata (bipinnata sea plume)?

It definately exibits pinnate branching. Common colors are bright yellow or purple. Is it pretty large? This genus can reach heights of up to 7ft. Anyway, from looking at that picture and looking in my book, this is what I came up with.
