Anyone know of any manufacturers who make a 60" long tank in the 100 gallon range - preferably with a built in overflow? I had my heart set on an All-Glass 125 gallon tank that was 72" long, but wouldn't you know, the spot in my living room is only 71". The next length down is 48" and to get one at 100 gal. it'd have to be 24" deep and 24" wide - I prefer the longer, shallower look. Besides, I'd prefer to disperse the weight over more floor joists.
I know Tenecor makes a 60x18x20 (or close), but it doesn't come with an overflow and is more expensive than the glass.
I'd be willing to try my hand at making a tank, (I'm pretty handy and a woodworking hobbiest), but I quoted out the glass at a local glass shop, and it was more expensive than a new tank.
Also, what do you all think of built in overflows anyhow? I think I prefer not to have anything hanging off the back of the tank. Are there other options.

Check this place out.
They have a 60 x 24 x 25 150 Gal Long for $300 and I think they charge $75 for each over flow.

Tenecor has one 60x18x24 (125g) "reef ready" which has overflows, sump, pumps, skimmer, and bio-media (I removed mine) for $1391. Pricey, yes, but includes the pump, etc. I don't know what the tank only costs, but here's a link:

Also, a different shape might work in your space, an option less available in glass. Of course acrylic has it's downsides too....

Thanks for the info. I see two people mentioned glasscages.com, I'll assume that you've actually dealt with them, or know someone who has, and that they make a good product.? I'll give them a look.

I have seen them up close at a local show and there nicely made.
Call them up there very friendly and helpful.
Here is a link to someone who got one from them for a plant tank.

The standard 150 gal tank is 60x24x24......as far as I know all major tank builders make this size tank. If its going to be a reef you want it to be as wide or wider then it is tall...
