Hermet crab eggs?

I Noticed that one of my little hermet crabs is "camped" out on the bottom sand engulfed with a jelly substance full of little red "L" shaped critters with two little black eyes. Could this be eggs/baby crabs or did my crab just find his dream dinner?

I have never heard of it happening but I would say it is probably possible.

what ever they were, they were live. The crab that had the bundle is now dead and the wigglers have beed eaten during a hermet crab feasta
