Snails?

I just had a snail leave a white trail behind on the glass of my saltwater aquarium. Are they eggs?

They very well could be. Cerith snail's leave egg's on the glass alot. But you'll rarley see baby snail's as a result. Some other snail's just pump out baby snail's without the egg phase and those are the ones more likley to breed succesfully in the tank. I've got some baby turbo's and alot of stomatella that were produced in my tank, but I've yet to see any cerith.

Thanks Mike, the more I read, the more it does seam like they are eggs. The only problem is trying to figure out which species of snail laid them. Also, last night I noticed one of my peppermint shrimp (1 of 4) is full of eggs. Not sure that’s a good thing yet, but I think it’s a good sign that my tank is healthy. Right???
