Is this a new tank?

Whats the bio load?

If those are small bubbles that I see then my guess is that its canyobactor (sp?). AKA slime algae.

Could be caused do to a new tank or some excess nutruients in the water from new live rock or excess bioload.

Tank has been set up for about 2 years now
Tang and Maroon Clownfish
Hermits and Snails
Trumpet coral
Button polyps
Xenia's

I agree I also think that it is access nutrients in the water and also it is golden brown and mainly in a few spots on the DSB
