We have added several new forum topics, and moved some of the post around. We think this will benefit us in the future when the forums get full with post.

Please PM us if you have any other request to be added to the forums.

Thank you

I think there is a little too many. I would wait and see how it goes and see how much moving mods need to do!

Yes, we do have to move topics frequiently, but I feel once people will start getting more used to the board and all its forums, they will start posting topics in the correct area. Until then, it's all moving :-)

I think that Tips and Tricks should be combined with DIY and FO/FOWL should be moved to the same section as Nano.

Personally I'd like to see a forum topic for Anemones and Clowns.
If there were enough other members interested in the subject.

Seems ok to me, cept I get tired of looking at pictures and other items that should be elsewhere in the general section.. Actually the general section seems to be a dumping ground for everything now and is kinda causing the other sections to become neglected. Not really sure what can be done about that until people figure out where to post. I guess we just ride it out for a bit and see what happens. Until then, may the flow be with your tank.. hehe

:) I joined this site a few days ago & I think its quite informative. There was some mention of new forum suggestions on which I have one. I have noticed other sites have a SPS & other difficult corals forum. This is a forum where alot of very experiened, obsessed & demented reefers like to air their laundry & discuss their findings & problems. Much can be learnt by just reading what they say & without even replying. One instance was when someone was dicussing a Peacock Coral, (Mycedium sp ) I found out not only does it have sweepers but it also gives off a toxic substance which is deadly to a radius of 6-7 cm. Just as well I read this before I placed mine in the aquarium. After this distance the toxicerty is diluted & becomes harmless. So see what the others think of my suggestion & act acordingly. Yours truely Plillip. M.

I think that the different sections are good... and would be bettter if people actually posted in the right ones (just a pet peeve of mine), but I think that the order of things could be made a bit more logical and productive.

In general I think the forums could use a little better grouping and consilidation, but like I said, I'm pretty anal about the little stuff.

So here is my suggestion:
[]'d items are topic groupings and these are in the order in which I think they should appear

[General Reef Forums]
- Reef Lounge News and Updates
- Intro to Reef Tank Setups
- General Reef Tank Setups
- I Need Help!!!
- UFO's
- Nano Usergroup
- Anything Goes

[Fish and Coral Forums] - sould also name something cutesy like "Tankmates"
- Reef Fish - Fish Care, Treatment, and Compatibility
- Coral Discussions
- FO / FOWLR
- Aggressive Fish

[Equipment]
- General Equipment - Tanks, Lights, Filters, etc
- Nano Tank Equipment
- DIY - Do It Yourself

- Reef Photos - Regular and Macro
- Tips & TTechniques
- Tank of the Month / Rate My Tank Note:combine the two, it just makes sense to have someone's photos in the same location where they are asking for ratings, plus the entire photography forum isn't getting much in the way of hits... so consolidate.

Also Note: I think that any non-reef photography is already being placed under the anything Goes category anyway so why have a seperat forum.

[Reef Lounge Marketplace]
- no changes, I think that each of these forums is pretty specific and well-deliniated, despite them not getting too many hits

So there, I think thata just about covers everything. I don't think that it would be a real issue at all though if people just posted in the right forums. Overlap however, should be eliminated.

Aw crap, I didn't look at the dates on the post previous to the one I responded to... I thought something was up when I read the title and the posts and was trying to figure out what got changed... I thought I was in a bad Twilight Zone ep. Oh well, I still stand by my recommendations and maybe it is time to evaluate the site logistics.
[ducking] moderators, don't hit me! eep! [...still ducking]
