OK guys i got the stand done last week and got a jump on my sump/refugium (its done), I will post some pics for you so you can tell me where i did good and what i should have done differently. This is my first try with acrylic in like 20 years so the joints are not the nicest looking but at least they hold water :).
Please feel free to tell me what i did wrong so the next ones i make i can do better, i was planning on making the tank in a few days.
This project is new for me but i plan on making sumps/tanks for my friends and more for me in the future so give me some tips :)

Thanks again guys (and gals).

Years ago I built breeding tanks out of plexi. I glued small strips of plexi top and bottom at each section so that I could slide each section out to clean, also its easy to change the sizes of each section by gluing in more small strips. I used a glass tank this time, just because it was quicker. :)

Hi!

I have never tryed to build a fugium. However, I am gethering the materials and doing a lot
of reading on the subject. My main question is, What is the best way to cut the plastic. I now have a 55 gallon tank and ready to up grade to an 75 gallon. Just trying to work out
a good plan. Do anyone have any good suggestions or designs that I can use?

Have a wonderful day,

Hunter

Looks like a very nice build! My only thought is if i built it since i overengineer EVERYthing i build i would put some small triangular pices on the top corners to just re-inforce it a little. But then again i did use 8 4x4 post as the main support for my 125g along with 12 2x4's to reinforce the floor under it!
