Greetings from www.Reeflounge.com !
Hello, it has been a while since we have sent out our last newsletter; and my how time flies! I never would have thought that we would have grown to the point that we have in such little time. Our users have posted a total of 128,422 articles and we have 6,147 registered users. That number grows everyday as new people become members thanks to the contributing support by all members. Let’s encourage them to continue to grow with us! Thanks to all for helping spread the word about our site!
It’s so encouraging to see a thriving reef forum. As I log in everyday, I’m delighted by the amount of knowledge, and participation. I have become well acquainted with many of you, and some I consider like family! It’s fairly often that I refer to ReefLounge as my second “home”. Best of all, it’s great to be a part of a forum “by hobbyists, for hobbyists.” It is our passion, and we all (including members) put our heart’s dedication back into the site. By the fruits of everyone’s labors, ReefLounge has become an awesome site!!!
We have a couple of updates that we would like you to know about:
1) By popular request, we decided to make a photography section. Not only can you submit your favorite reef pictures, but we also encourage you to post any of your favorite pictures. Whether it’s from this summer’s vacation, or the sunset from you backyard; we want to see your creative images! And best of all, images can be uploaded right from your desktop! Web pictures should be optimized at 72 dpi, and no wider than 580 pixels (eight inches) and no larger than 200kbs. Please adhere to the guidelines for uploading pictures, so that all may enjoy. If you need any help posting or resizing any images, feel free to private message or email any of the staff. We’re more than happy to help! J
2) We have also installed Gallery Software that will allow our members to register for an account at http://www.reeflounge.net/gallery/main.php and post as many reef related pictures as they want. The gallery will give our members another way to share their pictures. We hope everyone stops by and post some of their pictures.
3) Tank Of The Month is back :) http://www.reeflounge.com/showthread.php?t=18908 please get your entries in as soon as possible so we can have it all setup in time for voting to start on February 1st.
4) Voting on www.AquaRank.com . We ask if every member can vote for our site on
AquaRank when the get the chance. They reset the stats every Sunday, so if you could all vote once a week, that would be great. It helps us get new members and only takes a couple seconds for you to do. For information on how to vote, please check out this post:

5) Donations: We have added a link to a PayPal donations page. You can donate any amount you like. As little as $1.00, $10.00, or what ever amount you would like to contribute.
