i'm installing baffles in my sump to help eliminate bubbles.

The attached pic shows basic design.

couple questions....

should I make the water level in each section get lower so that the water falls over the baffles?

and should i tilt them a little so the water flows over it instead of falls?

And is one inch off the bottom for the alternating ones good?

return pump is iwakai rlt70, sump is 30 gal. 12x36x18

(skimmer pump is external)

Thanks!!

is there a general rule for how much shorter for each water level, and what about the other questions? any ideas?

Don't tilt them, there is no general rule. Your plan looks good. I'm not sure about the last question of the first post.
