Well I was an idiot and grabbed 2 medium hermit crabs (about 3") cuz they looked cool and were relativley cheap. However I just read that they are not reef safe. Is this true? I currently have a bunch of red legged and blue legged crabs plus snails. I have a blue/yellow damsel and a Royal gramma. What should I do?????

Are they like the red legs, and just bigger? Or are they a tannish color? If they are red legged, they might be a pest to the other crabs and snails cause they are so big. My friend has 4 and personally I think they suck. If they are the tannish color I'd return them, save a couple dollars cause you'll see how much you waste later.

Hi...

One of them has bright red legs and black hair.... the other one is greeish in color. They are huge tho.

I checked on the Dr. Fosters website and they said that they are not reef compatible as they will eat fish and mollusks... plus knock over corals.

SIgh they are so cool tho....

guess they gotta go
