I was looking at hellolights and came accross a Iwasaki 150w 50,000k bulb it is mh and well... wouldn't this be very blue? the retrofit kit with bulb is only $150 so is this a good option?

A. This color temp is excellent for nano reefs where you don't have the room for actinic supplementation. The blue/white light this bulb casts is quite nice! Also, the 50,000K is nothing special, and looks more like the common 20,000K metal halide lamps out there, as far as visual color is concerned.

I've never heard of the 50,000k Iwasaki Halide before, you learn something new everyday :)

Ok I read that too but it says as far as visual color does that mean it is really alot better color spectum? for $150 for the retro fit and bulb mabe I will go with this.
