The Maximum Size is around 250k (Someone correct me if i'm wrong).

If worse comes to worse, email me the image and i'll try to get them up sometime tomorrow, although I cannot gurentee that I will be able to post them. Email is: Leathercoral85ga@aol.com

Or, if someone else has extra space on their server, and wouldn't mind to host your picture, then you can email them. I would keep trying to get your picture to come out.

hey foot i see in your tank description you also run vho.
there not in the pic but i have some sps frags ever have any? im just waiting for my grow out tanks to cycle and i will put them under the mh.
they been in the display tank now going on three weeks. the guy i traded a couple lions and a snowflake eel for told me that vho will also do sps good as long as its not a deep tank.

Danny,

I have always been told to stay away from SPS unless you have MH. My tank is deep. I could always have them higher, but I guess I was just concerned about not having MH's

thats exactly what i thought also . but i see it mire and more people with vho systems and sps . like you said and that is what i did i put them a s high as i could in the tank. every day i get home i llok at them and the polyps are all out and one i have his sweeper tintakles are always out feeding. the guy that traded me for the sps i got from is a biologists. and he said they would be fine.

They will live under VHO's, but you honestly wouldn't see the briliant colors are fast growth. Instead, the color might turn a dull brown (from increased zooxanthellae), the colors might fade, and you would see extremely slow growth. I would stay away from SPS's under anything but halides.

BTW- DANNY, do you still want me to try to post your pictures? I got your email.

That is the beauty of this hobby, saving reefs by fraging corals!

Danny,

You have a sweet looking tank. What I was wondering however is that, is it possible to get that kind of fluorescence using PC's? I went to my LFS and looking at their tanks, only the ones with actinic VHO's truly brought out the fluorescent colors of some of the specimens. The PC actinics seem to get diluted by the daylight PC. Any help would be appreciated (from anyone for that matter). Once again, Love the tank!

Oh ya, and I am not considering SPS so no worries about halides.
Thanks!

thanks mike
i had pc" on my 55 before i set up this 75 it was a amart lamp i didnt like it. it was too dull looking didnt bring out the colors. i have the 5 110 watt vho's 4 actinic white and one blue in the middle of the 4 whites and it works for me. ive had some sps frags that i traded for about 3 weeks to a month now and ive already noticed some tip growth on one. i have read alot of articles of people keeping sps under vho. i have alot of mixed corals sps, lps that are splitting and growing very good colors are great. everybody has there preference. the grow out system ive built has one 29 gal long with 220 watts of vho and the other 29 gal above it has 250 of m.h. im gona do some experimenting with the two. thanks again for the compliment.
