a cut peice of blue/white filter floss works perfectly to remove hard brown, green and coraline algeas...works wonders on glass as well! then a magfloat can easily takeover once the hard stuff's been removed...

python actually sells a mit like the mentioned...but just blue/white filter media

You can use an old credit card on acrylic tanks to scrape the sides. It works the same as a razor blade on glass tanks but shouldn't scratch the acrylic and takes a bit more elbow grease.

i have a kent scraper, and i know what you mean about elbow grease....that's why i had to come up with something more effective!
hey ok I bought filter floss now do I need that blue think or is just filter floss ok?
