Help please with conversion to MH

I have a 125 with VHO, 2 03 and 2 aquasun bulbs. I am converting to 3 250W metal halide 12,000K sunburst, plus 2 six foot 03 URI's. I have been running the VHOs for 8 hours a day, will I need to start the MH's off slow so as not to shock anyone? How long should I taper up the duration of light if I should? I greatly appreciate your experienced response.

What do you think about the MH/VHO setup I have outlined?

You can start the lighting out at 1 hour a day, and slowely increase it 30 minutes every 2-3 days. I did the same thing upgrading from PC's, to 800wts of Halides.
