Iam setting a 125gal reef tank up and have some questions about the plumbing and the overflows. i bought two overflows for the tank, iam going to have one at each side of the tank. what would be the best way to get pvc to the sump?should i connect them or not? and how hard is it going to be getting the two overflows to be at the same setting in the tank?
the other thing is, to return the water back to the tank iam going to use a rio 2500, is that going to be alright or should i use 2 of them and just have two returns going to the tank? any info would help...
thank you

hmm then yeah I think they will work good for your tank but how much gph can your pump handle? does it say?

Either use two...or better yet...use one MagDrive 12 or MagDrive 18. IMO, you will not have enough flow for a 125g tank with one Rio 2500, also IME, Rio's have a higher catastrophic fail rate of any pump out there. Rios do make good landfill.

so you dont think one will do the job? i already have one so i dont want to just let it sit and not use it. so you think i should have two returns going to the tank?

If your unwilling or unable to return the Rio, then yes, I would use the Rio on one return and a Mag 9.5 on the other. If I were you, I would not purchase a Rio as the other pump.

iam new to all this but i was just wondering something, if i had powerheads in the tank would this help the flow? or doed that have nothing to do with it?

If the pump is working well, yes it will run the berlin skimmer, but Red Sea fish Pharm recommends a magdrive 7 minimum and do not recommend the Rio at all. But it will run it, hopefully for a long time.
