I am a first time poster on this message board.

I am looking for some tricks on keeping my corals happy. Some days my corals look great and other they look ok. My LFS keeps there calicum up at around 600 ppm. Could this be part of my problem. Are there some tricks to keeping corals?

I don't think there are really any "tricks" to keeping corals healthy and happy. Do the proper amount of research to find out what the corals in question require.
1. Does the coral require bright light or low light?
2. What kind of water movement does it require?
3. Where in the tank should it be placed?
4. What kind of supplements do they require?
5. Provide them with great water quality.
6. Give them room to grow and so they are not attacking each other.

This was really all I could think of, I am sure others will be able to add more but in the meantime, I hope this helps
