Ok i'm new and making some mistakes. I purchased a seaclone 150 skimmer. Of course i am finding it difficult to keep working efficiently. But i hear it can work great with some modifications. So if any of you know how to improve the seaclone please share your modifications.

I am not aware of any mods that need to be made to the new seaclones. I know some older models could be modded to make them more efficent.
From what I have read people would take them apart and cut the center tube down some or mod it in a way that they could add an airstone to the reaction chamber.
What problems are you having specificly?

its just a very touchy unit. and i have to constantly adjust the air. I've heard that replacing the air valve is a good place to start, but i have not seen any replacement ones yet.

I have heard of this happening to a lot of people. My LFS owner told me to turn up that air adjustment all the way, then leave it be. I did that and it took a week to stop shooting bubbles into my tank. Then it cleared up and I have never adjusted it since. Dont know how it does it, but I have seen it do it on several different occations.

You were right, fully open works perfect, I was a little concerned about the reduced flow rate, but i let it operate, and at last... stinky dirty bubbles
THanks for the link, i think i may try that
