Has anyone bought LR off of eBay?
yep, but not from a company who sold it.

before you bid on anything on ebay, make sure, the photo they show you is the actual piece you are getting, have heard some people pay good money for LR on ebay and on some online stores, only to get a completely different looking LR which was not worth the money.
Again, I would always recommend buying from a LFS so YOU can pick and chose what you need. If you want to buy LR that is cheap, and going to be used as a base, than ebay or online is a good and cheap way to buy, but if you are looking for nice pieces to create your Aquascape, go and check out a couple of LFS and see if you can get a better price from them :)
Also no shipping charge.

Only problem around here in the winter time LR is expensive and is pretty much dead. I could take from my main but I really don't want to tear that apart.

Listen to Matrix. I have several friends who bought from the "ebay guy" and they got 50lbs of rock... Unfortunately, few pieces were bigger then a tennis ball.

seatrademarine on ebay is who I got my LR from. paid $130 and free shipping for 46 lbs. Excellent size rocks, much life on them. A lot of coralline, had a surprising brown button polyp and two clams. I emailed him to see if I could get more LR for that price and the answer was "NO". Oh well, got lucky once.
