What temperature do you keep your tank at. I have some soft coral, mushrooms, and of course fish.
Just wanted to get a general idea what others are doing. I used to keep it at 80 but I heard I should lower it.

These are the ideal tank conditions that many people suggest:

Temp 72-78°F

I try to keep it somewhere in the middle of that range, usually around 75-78°F

80°F should be fine too, but some people say its to high :)

I keep mine at a constant 82. The reason being, is because ick has a hard time living at tempatures over 80 degrees. I feel water over 80 degrees is also closer to natural sea water in tropical areas.

mine has been steady at 80.1 for 3 weeks now. I have mine higher because I think it will be warm in the summer months.

I used to try to keep the tank at about 76 - 78 F but I found it nearly impossible to (without a chiller) keep the temperature steady during summer months. I raised the temp to 80 - 82 F and have reduced the, almost daily, fluctuations significantly.

We keep our house between 67 to 70, so it is realitively easy to maintain the tank temp around 78 on average.

Wow! :shock: I could never afford to keep the thermostat set at 67 down here in Florida! Must be nice. :wink:
