anyone ever seen a pinkish purple tubestrea???
my LFS got one in that no one has ever seen before...i swear to them that it's a tubestrea! can a coral like that be dyed??? :shock:
I have never seen one!! WOW do you think you could get a quick snap?

I am sure a tubastrea can be dyed, since it is non-photosynthetic...I wonder how much damage the dye would do?? Anyway, if it is dyed, it will be apparent because the polyps will be dyed too. Every part of the coral should diplay the same color, with slight variations from the pigments that were already there. Although I must say, I have seen pics of Sun Corals where the flesh between polyps was pink as well as the polyp being pink and yellow, they were very nice looking.
