Ok, so obviously by my previous post...I am not too familiar with corals and anemones (since I am having a hard time getting them here in Hawaii). I have a friend who has a few types of corals in his tank including leather coral and mushroom coral...and a few types of anemones including pulsing xenia and carpet anemone. I have a few questions on fragging them (since he gave me permission to)...

1. How do I cut the mushroom coral (with what instrument should I cut it with)?

2. How do I frag a piece of the leather coral...can I just break it off?

3. Is it possible to frag a pulsing xenia and a carpet anemone...and if so, how do you do it?

I was looking through other posts and I haven't seen a really good guide on how to do these things...and if there is any professional tips you can offer me on doing this, it would greatly be appreciated.

For the Mushrooms, you should use a really sharp exacto knife: You can follow the instructions in the link. When attaching them, you can do it their way or you can pick out the rock that you want to attach the shrooms to, put the shrooms on it and then take the foot part of a pair of pantyhose and cover the rock with it(stretch it around the rock, like putting on a sock) tie a knot a the bottom and put back in the tank for a week.

For the Xenia:

I don't think you can frag a carpet anemone, they split on their own.

I beleive fragging the leather will be the same as the Xenia.
